An intensive driving course is exactly what it says. You will be in the car for several hours a day. This style of driving lesson helps to build your confidence quickly, and retain information better.

On Monday your instructor will pick you up, either at your home if you are local, or at a hotel in the area. The first day's driving lesson will consist of 6 hours 1 to 1 tuition. This will be broken down into 1.5 - 2 hour stages, allowing time for coffee & lunch breaks etc. The rest of the week follows the same format, with a practical test at the end of the course. This practical test will be at a test centre within the North West.

Need to Pass Your Theory Test?

If you have not passed your Theory Test prior to your course, we can help you do this.

At the end of the 1st day's drive, you will have 1-2-1 theory and H.P.T. (Hazard Perception Training)

On Day 2 you will drive to the Theory Test Centre to take your test. Then the rest of the week follows the same as above.

(We recommend you pass your theory test before commencing a course)

Due to time constraints, we request that you give as much notice as possible if both tests are required in the same week.
No Car Sharing with NWCC !
Not 20 hours driving and 20 hours watching.

Some "driving schools" will tell you that to have two pupils in the car is the best way to take an intensive driving course.

Is that best for you or the driving school?

They will get two lots of tuition fees whilst using only one instructor. You will get your learning to drive time divided by two. We will leave it to you to decide which is most beneficial for you. The DSA recommend that you should have at least 40 hours of driving lessons before going in for your test.

At NorthWest Crash Courses we don't believe that you can learn to drive by watching someone else from the back seat - otherwise driving instructors would not have been invented. We would have just watched our parents etc then just passed the test! Does an airline pilot learn from the back seat? As mentioned before, lots of other "driving schools" want you to sit in the back seat and pay for the privilege.
